24th September 2003 The basement and the ceiling was done and the builder and his family sets up the main floor themselves. Today the almost 4300sf main floor will be filled with B-25 concrete and Mr. Hellmann controls the filling equipment and tools. |
At 8.30 AM Mr. Hellmann arrives and discusses some issues the builder needed to get answers before the filling of the walls starts... |
| This is the plan that Mr. Hellmann had done. The colours point out nzmbers that show the builder witch lintels will be used while errecting the walls. The builder did it himself and no mistakes could be found here… | |
The left packages of the Isorast elements are waiting to be used on the first floor... |
| The
future hobby room has large windows looking to the South for receiving
maximum sunlight as this house needs not heating system but airing! The
supports are in place and fixed…everything is clean… an excellent project site… |
The double garage with hobby room in the basement has received a huge iron bearer that will hold the rooms above it. Mr. Hellmann controls everything and could not find mistakes done by the builder. But it´s always a good idea to have a master checking it again.. |
| The last supports will be fixed on the foundation! | |
Here
the builder has filled the little holes of the first row with cement mash... another way of doing it as most other clients do it with ready foam! |
| The whole basement area has received a water resistant coating and it´s now raedy to get invisible as the earthworks will be pushed back against the walls! | |
Here you could see the concrete filling procedure!Mr. Hellmann is giving last instructions…don´t put to much in at one point….walk along the board and fill slowly… it´s still much faster than anything else. |
| Another team member shows up to help filling the walls! He controls the switch…if the filler needs to be shut off while the filling person moves to the next wall. | |
Since 9.30 AM the neighbour of the builder is filling the walls and he is still concentrated to do a good job! To fill over 38 tons of concrete really takes some time but could you imaginge to lift all the concrete by hand while building a house brick by brick!! |
| It is end of September, and still over 800 F! The neighbour is still working on the last row and in the rear you could see the churchtower which demonstrates how much this building is hillside.. | |
He is the best..does he really know how much work is waiting for him. But as you see on the next picture this house has a perfect view to the valley. |
"And
this should make it??" What can we do now??? |
| Mr. Hellmann told the builder what needs to be done and the homedepot had the necessary equipment available to rescue the wall... | |
Christo could not have done it better to help these walls to be covered for pouring the concrete in... |
Not very nice but seldom! The clamps hold this „Construction „ in place until the concrete is in! It holds and nothing happened raelly…but everyboda never forgets and for sure it will not happen again too… |
Slowly... very slowly this part of the wall receives ist concrete fill! Everyboda just hopes that it will work…and YES its done after a while and everybody is happy. |
| At 6.30 PM the silo is completely empty and Mr. Hellmann cleans the system. No lunch, no break just filling the whole day and one visitor who was asking if we could make it in one day received the right answer… this huge house can´t be filled within one day only... | |
All the hoses used were taken back to the trailer of Mr. Hellmann as he needs them quickly at the next project...To carry the hoses is the hardest job!! |
| Mr.
Hellmann has seen a lot of people filling walls on projects that he did…but
the 2 guys here did the best job of all. From 9 AM until 6.30 PM without
any break..this is really something they could be very proud of… ...5 days later! |
